As Mayor Bill White's campaign continues to gain momentum across Texas, we have hired Joe Hamill as our organizer in Central Texas. Joe has set up shop in Austin to provide Central Texans the tools and training to make their efforts organized, efficient and effective.

What made Joe decide to join the team?

"Too often politics corrupts policy in Washington D.C. and Texas has been represented far too long by those uninterested in serving this state and improving the lives of Texans," Joe said.

"Electing Bill White will change that. People know that Bill White will bring their voice and values to Washington, and those people are willing to work hard to make sure he can. I joined this team because I believe working on this team and electing Bill will be my contribution to real, lasting, positive change in the world."

Joe grew up in Austin and attended Austin High, before going to the University of Denver. At Denver, Joe played lacrosse and earned a degree in Political Science and Creative Writing. In his off time, he climbs and skis. Joe most recently worked for a State Senator during the legislative session and for the Travis County Democratic Party Coordinated Campaign during the last presidential election.
