White meets with elected officials, community members, labor leaders, and teachers in Central Texas

Bill White traveled to Central Texas this Saturday, to meet local leaders and community members in Austin, Sun City, and San Marcos. Please click on the thumbnails below for full-size pictures.

The day began in Austin, where Bill met with members of the Coalition of Black Democrats at St. James Baptist Church. Bill met with State Representatives Barbara Mallory Caraway and Royce West, who introduced Bill to an enthusiastic audience.

Bill then traveled north to Sun City, where a large audience turned out to hear him address the Sun City Democrats.

Bill's day continued with a visit to the Williamson County Democratic headquarters, where he met State Representative Diana Maldonado and spoke to Williamson County supporters.

Bill then visited a meeting of the University Democrats and Central Austin Democrats on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin, where he stood alongside other Democratic gubernatorial candidates and answered questions from the audience.

He then visited the Texas AFL-CIO convention, where he met with supporters in the labor movement and addressed union leaders from across the state.

Through his campaign, Bill has repeated numerous times that as governor, education reform will be his top priority. Bill met with leaders of the Texas State Teachers Association and shared his ideas with them.

Bill's day ended in San Marcos, where he met with State Representative Jack Rose and Hays County District Attorney Sherri Tibbe and addressed local supporters.
