Since winning his primary earlier this month, Bill White has not slowed his campaign to be the next governor of Texas. In the Ft. Worth - Dallas area on Friday and Saturday, White made himself available to reporters and met with folks in the region to get their input in what the region needs in its next governor.
In Fort Worth, a CBS reporter asked Bill how he would deal with the state's expected budget shortfall of $11 billion and the high unemployment rate.
White said the answer to the problem lies in preparing our citizens with the skills and the technology they need to compete for good jobs, jobs of the future.
White also noted his business experience in the oil and gas industry and his record as Houston's mayor as bringing people together to get things done.
