Bill White solves problems, he knows how to get things done and works to find common ground. He has led our city through challenging times, proving effective leadership with a track record of protecting working families. While serving as Mayor of Houston, Bill White worked with labor organizations to update the city's prevailing wages and supported the establishment of a new union for municipal employees. Bill White led the effort to clean our air by reducing toxic emissions. I'm proud to support the only pro-choice candidate for the U.S. Senate.

It's time to unite behind Bill White as the best choice for U.S. Senate because he understands what's important to our state's future. From the beginning of his career, registering voters after the Voting Rights Act in the sixties, and throughout his successful terms as Houston's mayor, Bill has worked to include Texans of all stripes in politics and policy making. This is the approach we need in Washington now.

After careful consideration and review of each candidate's past record and current work, I believe that Bill White offers the best opportunity for Texas to succeed in Washington. His work in Houston, especially related to affordable housing and economic growth, shows that he brings the experience needed to represent all Texans.

Making sure more Texans graduate from high school and college is something I work toward every day as a state legislator. I support Bill White for the U.S. Senate because I believe he will show the same commitment in Washington, D.C.

I have always been in awe and amazement at the way Bill White has handled the multitude of challenges facing Houston during his tenure as mayor. He has worked with people from all walks of life, political ideologies and various sectors including the business and non profit communities. It is his intellect and ability to problem solve that will serve him well in Washington as our future Senator.

His record as mayor of Houston is tremendous: he has a very strong environmental record; spearheaded under his tenure true affordable housing mechanisms/financing in livable community redevelopment, especially in blighted low-income historical minority communities; he steered Houston's robust economy in spite of the economic downturn; his pro-choice record; his support of a healthy inclusive economy for small, minority and women owned business in Houston and most importantly his compassionate hands-on response for survivors of the tragedies of (Hurricanes) Katrina and Rita weigh heavily in my decision to support Bill White for U.S. Senate.

With decades in the energy industry before he held elected office, Bill White understands how to reduce America's dependence on foreign oil. He's fiscally sensible because of his upbringing and his years in business. Finally, Bill White is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and has my trust in protecting our rights.

We can expect our economy to transform dramatically over the next generation. Now, more than ever, we need someone with real world experience from the business world, with the intelligence of an energy expert, and with the proven judgment that Bill has demonstrated as Mayor of Houston.

At this critical time in our nation, Texas needs a strong, determined leader at the national level. Bill White is focused on the issues that impact our state the most, and committed to making Texas a better place for our children and families. Bill White is a proven leader who will fight for all Texans in the U.S. Senate.

Bill White does what's right for people, even when nobody else will, and even when no one is watching. He showed real character during Hurricane Katrina, mobilizing 100,000 volunteers to help evacuees get back on their feet. And after Hurricanes Rita and Ike, he worked behind the scenes for one of the most successful recovery efforts our state has ever seen. Texans need to elect Bill White to make our state a better place for our children and grandchildren.

The next United States Senator from Texas will be very important to the constituents of District 143 and the Latino community statewide. Time and time again Bill White has shown that he has qualities and the leadership skills to be an effective United States Senator. As the chair of the Environmental Legislative Caucus, I am particularly impressed with Bill White's environmental record. Bill White has aggressively pushed for stricter enforcement and more scientific data for monitoring and regulating air toxic emissions, and he has taken legal action and funded scientific studies to reduce the levels of benzene, a cancer causing chemical. I am proud to endorse my friend, Mayor Bill White, for the United States Senate.

Bill White has proven to be a man of integrity in his dedication to improving the lives of his constituents and the state of Texas. In his years of public service, Bill's accomplishments have shown he is the person to lead Texans as their next U.S. Senator.

We need a leader like Bill White who will truly represent Texans from all walks of life in Washington. With his successes as Mayor of the 4th largest city in the United States, in addition to his experience at the federal level, Mayor White is the right choice for Texas.

The son of a disabled WWII veteran, Bill White has done the right thing for veterans in Houston by creating a program that gives our men and women in uniform the welcome that they deserve. Bill White understands our values and will bring a renewed sense of public service to Washington.

When you look at all of the issues that impact the working families of Texas such as education, healthcare, public safety, or the environment-our State is last in many things we should be first in, and first in many things we should be last in. In order to start to turn that around, we need to elect people like Bill White.

Bill White is a good friend and a proven winner. It's time to elect a Democrat who will not just win a primary but who will be able to win in a general election as well. Bill White will have the support of Independents and even some Republicans, and he will represent all Texans.

Whether it is dealing with a hurricane or making the investments needed to improve Houston's quality of life, Bill White has shown the strength and leadership necessary to manage America's fourth largest city. Texas needs that kind of leadership in the US Senate.

I followed Bill at the federal level when he worked for the Clinton Administration, and I followed him when he was the state party chair and he held us all together, the very diverse group of Democrats that we are. He was great leader then and he's been a great leader for Houston. Bill is a great man. As a person from South Texas, who has lived here my whole life, I'm here to tell you that this is going to be our next U.S. Senator, Bill White.

I am supporting Bill White because he is without a doubt the best qualified person to serve as Texas' next Senator. Bill White has repeatedly demonstrated true leadership and vision to get Houston safely through both economic and environmental disasters. Under Bill's stewardship, Houston led the nation's cities in job growth. His work resulted in safer neighborhoods, lower property taxes and a better quality of life for everyone in Houston. Texas, and America, will be better off with Bill White in the United States Senate.

Bill White will be an excellent Senator for the State of Texas and will work for the betterment of the state and be a accessible to the people as he has in the past in his mayoral position. He will represent us here in El Paso well and be able to address the needs of the area.

I've worked with Bill White for over a decade, and he always fights for what's right. Texans can trust Bill White. He understands Texas values, as a Sunday school teacher and the son of a disabled veteran. And, Bill's proved calm under crisis, leading Houston through two of the largest disasters in our nation's history, Hurricanes Katrina and Ike. He's the kind of strong leader we need in Washington now.

Bill White understands how policy made in Washington will effect businesses in Texas, because he helped build and manage one of the nation's most successful law firms. Texans are ready for a fresh voice in Washington that will stand up to party politics and represent their values. He's a coalition builder and will get things done for Texans in Washington.

We need to send a proven problem-solver and leader to the U.S. Senate and that's why I am proud to endorse Bill White. We need someone who understands big cities in the Senate. As a legislator for 20 years in the Texas House, I know what it takes to be effective in the lawmaking process.
